Former Governor of Ekiti State Mr.
Ayodele Peter Fayose, has been granted bail.
The Federal High Court, Ikoyi where
he is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
on money laundering charges, among others granted the former governor bail on
the sum of N50m.
The former governor was also asked to submit his international passport to court.
Fayose is being prosecuted by the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his company, Spotless
Investment Ltd, on an 11-count charge of N30.8 billion fraud. The governor
pleaded innocence of the offences.
