Innovative: Broom machine boosts clever cleaners' efficiency

Innovative broom machine boosts clever cleaners’ efficiency
Street cleaners in Xiaogan, central China’s Hubei Province, have been able to do their daily work “efficiently and effectively,” after inventing a “magic weapon” that can quickly and efficiently combat dust and trash on roads.
They no longer need to hold a broom and dustpan to make the roads clean, sweeping up the streets inch by inch. Now, these clever cleaners drive their unique broom vehicles to brush away all the dust in one clean sweep.
Around 16 brooms are fixed to a rotating machine on wheels, which is dragged by a tractor. The cleaners said it is able to do the equivalent work of 20 laborers in a day.
Despite their ingenuity, it seems that they have not thought about how to dispose of the dust and trash after cleaning it away. Luckily for them, some skeptical netizens have begun to ask those very questions.
“It just blows the dust about. Where is the trash brushed away to?” questioned @Zilangyouxi-WolfGame.
“It is not useful because it puts dust in the air and affects traffic. It just puts the trash into the roadsides,” said @Jidishenxing.
“[It is a] smog maker,” posted @Langzitianya777.
In fact, in China, there are already innovative cleaning vehicles that wipe out dust using water, lowering the possibility of dust rising into the air. On narrow streets, workers ride small cleaning tricycles and vehicles to keep roads and residential areas neat and tidy.
