The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released
some of the results in Saturday’s legislative re-run election in Rivers
State.
We reported it here earlier today that the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) suspended all the election in all
constituencies in the state in a statement it released late on Sunday,
adding that it ordered the suspension, pending the receipt of a
comprehensive report from its field officials and monitors.
Clarifying it’s latest order, INEC said, “The suspension does not affect constituencies where the exercise has been completed and the results declared by the returning officers.”
INEC has gone further to disclose that results are ready in one
Federal Constituency and 11 state assembly seats where the election was
peacefully conducted.
However, the results appear hastily put together, as the figures scored by other parties were missing in several columns.
Below are the official results released by INEC and obtained exclusively by SaharaReporters;
