. Arsenal Star, Iwobi Suffers Food Poisoning In Eagles Camp
Nigeria’s Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has suffered food poisoning on duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria prompting him to miss training as the team prepare for the AFCON clash with Egypt on Friday.
This was confirmed by the interim head coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia. 19-year old Iwobi was taken to‎ hospital after eating salad with the rest of the squad at the training base in Abuja. Speaking on the situation in a news conference, Siasia said: “He suffered from food poisoning and so was not part of training.” Siasia further stated that: “His condition is stable.”
Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi has been impressive of late for his North London side Arsenal scoring his first Premier League goal in a 2-0 away win at Everton, in what was his full league debut.
